I discovered the practice of yoga in early 1995 whilst searching for solace, peace and harmony during a trying period in my life. Through yoga I found my calling and I dedicated myself to my practice, finding balance and tranquillity through breath control and mindful concentration.
I have been teaching yoga since completing the teachers training certification with Ruth White in 2000, although my training as a yoga teacher has been on-going and I have continued to expand my knowledge of yoga by studying with teachers who are held in high esteem in their particular yoga practice. The different styles I have studied include Ashtanga, Hatha and Sivananda yoga and I incorporate aspects of each style into the practice I teach with my own students to enable them to discover which style is best suited for them. I am also qualified to teach yoga to children aged between 2 and 12 after completing extensive training courses with ‘Yogabugs’ and ‘Yogad’Up.
The classes I teach place specific emphasis on the importance of correct physical alignment, as well as the use of breath and intentional awareness of the body. This emphasis allows people to begin an inner journey towards health, vitality, equanimity and personal growth and I am a firm advocate that the continuous practice of yoga promotes strength, flexibility, increased mental & emotional clarity and brings each individual into closer harmony with their true nature.I am truly grateful to all of my teachers who have enabled me to share my love of yoga with so many people and I welcome everyone who comes to my practice.
I warmly welcome you to come and experience the benefits of regular yoga practice has on your mind, body and spirit and look forward to witnessing you learning to heal your body, open your heart and understand your life’s true purpose.
